Wide, voluminous trousers created in collaboration with TCHUR menswear brand.
The design is inspired by the traditional gaće trousers from the Banat region of Serbia. Historically, such trousers were made from a substantial amount of fabric and served as a marker of a rural wearer’s status. It is believed that the widest known examples of gaće were constructed from twelve panels, each approximately fifty centimeters wide. We chose to recreate this cut.
Six meters of сoarse cotton fabric. Entirely hand-sewn. Hand-dyed with walnuts. Sorcery.
