Antique weaver's house shirt

Straw in my pocket, leaves down my collar, river sand in my boots. Standing at the crossroads, waiting for guests. If you come to me from the south, I’ll give you gold. If you come from the north, I’ll gift you a black mare. Take the mare to the field on a moonlit night, and she’ll give birth to a foal with a silk mane. From that silk, spin a thread, and sew my name onto your shirt. To know my name, ask the wind from yesterday in a dream.

Early XX century peasant shirt from southern Serbia, restored and redesigned. Linen with antique mother-of-pearl buttons. Hand sewn buttonholes & restoration. Sorcery.
